The Network Video Technologies (NVT) NV-862R is an 8-channel active receiver distribution amplifier hub designed for vintage analog CCTV surveillance infrastructures. Manufactured in the USA, this 1U rack-mountable device serves as an infrastructure powerhouse by consolidating real-time composite video inputs transmitted across long distances over cost-effective Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) wires. It splits each incoming channel into four individual BNC outputs, allowing a single hub to feed up to 32 video monitors, recorders, or matrices simultaneously. Equipped with prominent front-panel blue adjustment blocks, the hub allows technicians to manually tune high-frequency and low-frequency trimpots to counteract signal attenuation, eliminate ground-loop hum bars, and restore sharp, crisp picture quality across cabling distances stretching up to a mile.
